Core Skill Development


Foundations: Process Modeling »
This 2-day course will teach participants how to model and implement business processes with Lombardi Blueprint™ and Teamworks®. This course will demonstrate how Blueprint and Teamworks can support different modeling goals using actual business processes as examples. Classroom activities and individual exercises allow participants to practice interpreting requirements into a business process model in Blueprint and Teamworks.

Foundations: Process Implementation »
This 3-day course covers the development of Teamworks® Services. Topics such as managing variables in Teamworks, modeling Message Events, creating Services for integration with external applications, and handling exceptions will be covered. During the course, participants will have various classroom activities and individual exercises that reinforce course topics.

Foundations: BPM Program Management »
This 2-day course supplements traditional project management methodology by covering differences to consider when involved in a Business Process Management (BPM) implementation. Topics include iterative development, identifying and selecting processes for projects, a BPM project's life cycle, and the aftermath of a BPM project. In addition, this course examines concepts of Program Management in a BPM environment. Provided classroom activities and business scenarios will allow participants to practice concepts introduced in class.

Foundations: Teamworks Operations »
This 3-day course trains participants to configure and administer Lombardi Teamworks. This course covers pre-installation, post-installation configuration, and various operational and maintenance tasks. Participants also learn to manage various configuration options such as user authentication and authorization, and user interface customizations.

Teamworks Process Optimization »
This 1-day course will teach core product skills and best practice methods required to analyze and improve business processes using Teamworks.  This course will teach participates how to leverage Teamworks to define and track Key Performance Indicators, evaluate the performance of existing business processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies using historical data inside the Teamworks Optimizer, and to identify improvements and evaluate their effects on to-be processes using the Teamworks Simulator.

Advanced Skill Development

This is the core course required to obtain the Level 2 BPM Developer Certification. The course is designed to help developers build the critical skills required to architect, design and build complex process applications. The course is taught by a seasoned BPM development practitioner who will teach best practices learned from hundreds of Lombardi BPM projects. This training is very challenging and heavily weighted toward hands-on exercises and applied problem solving for real-world implementation scenarios faced at Lombardi customers.

Business Modeling Workshop »
In this 3-day workshop, your BPM Analysts will learn the critical analytical skills that go beyond basic process modeling. Specifically, this workshop focuses on process centric culture, change management, and Lombardi's BPM analysis methodology using Blueprint, case studies and hands-on exercises. The workshop can be customized to use customer processes in exercises, resulting in deliverables that are project/process specific.

Process Implementation Mentoring »

Foundations: Process-Driven Business Leadership »
This 2-day course provides business leaders with a practical understanding of the role process leaders and owners play in using BPM to drive business value and continuous improvement. Participants will learn how to identify process improvement opportunities, how to develop process leadership skills, and how to become a process-driven organization. Lombardi has joined forces with BPM thought leader Andrew Spanyi from Spanyi International to bring you this workshop.

This 2-hour self-paced online course uses a mixture of narrative, simulated sessions and hands on exercises, to instruct participants in how to get started with process mapping. BPMN Level 1 Method and Style Using Blueprint »
Offered by: Bruce Silver Associates
This 2-day course presents a methodology and style recommendations for creating BPMN-conformant models that are optimized for shared understanding and business-IT collaboration. Effective sharing of process models between business and IT requires careful attention to model structure, methodology, and diagramming style. BPMN Level 1 Method uses a business-oriented approach that relies on a basic working subset of BPMN elements supported by the Blueprint palette. During the course, participants will complete various hands-on exercises using Blueprint that reinforce course topics.
