Lee Memorial Health System Deploys Lombardi Software to Streamline HR Processes

Successful implementation leads to enterprise commitment for Lombardi

AUSTIN, TX – December 8, 2004 – Lombardi Software today announced that Lee Memorial Health System (LMHS) has successfully deployed its TeamWorks business process management (BPM) software, effectively reducing the time and costs associated with adding new employees to the system.  Lee Memorial will now expand their implementation of TeamWorks into other areas of their health care system through an enterprise license.

"Prior to deploying TeamWorks, our processes were tedious, slow and costly.  We've experienced dramatic increases in efficiency, saving over 21,000 employee hours," said Jeff Ward, Manager of General Financial Systems at Lee Memorial Health System.  "TeamWorks has allowed us to reduce recruiting time to hire a new employee by 50 percent and HR assistant processing time by over 90 percent. We've already saved hundreds of thousands of dollars by eliminating paperwork, redundancy, and lack of integration across departments and as we expand, well save even more."

TeamWorks has streamlined LMHS' new hiring process, reducing the time and workload required to add new employees.  By adding process visibility, Lombardi's TeamWorks now provides a common sense approach to HR routing and approvals, reducing the time to hire  a new employee from over 25 hours to less than  8 hours, a reduction of over 200%.  TeamWorks has reduced numerous operational inefficiencies related to workflow including the integration of computer systems residing on different platforms that previously had no logical way to communicate between systems.

"Lee Memorial has achieved quick results and improved their bottom-line results by implementing TeamWorks," said Rod Favaron, president and chief executive officer of Lombardi Software.  "Now, Lee Memorial can actively manage their business processes through the increased visibility into process performance and by improving overall efficiency.  And, because TeamWorks is fully configurable, scalable and flexible, the system will grow as their needs grow."

Using TeamWorks, LMHS will continue to leverage the investments already made in their existing enterprise architecture.  Through a standards-based, data-driven architecture and open platform that supports J2EE and .NET architectures, TeamWorks is a flexible and scalable solution designed to support hundreds of mission-critical processes, both within and across the extended enterprise.  TeamWorks has won numerous awards for BPM technology excellence and Lombardi Software is recognized as a leader in the BPM pure-play market.
