Lombardi Software Positioned in the Leaders Quadrant for 2009 Business Process Management Suites Magic Quadrant
Positioning by Leading Analyst Firm Based On Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute
Austin, Texas – February 25, 2009 – Lombardi, a leader in business process management (BPM) solutions, today announced that it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the "Leaders" quadrant of the 2009 Magic Quadrant for Business Process Management Suites report.* Gartner positions vendors in the magic quadrant based on their completeness of vision and ability to execute.
The 2009 Magic Quadrant depicts the relative strengths of the top 22 vendors offering multiregional, cross-industry business process management suites (BPMSs) that interest Gartner clients and nonclients the most.
Lombardi was evaluated by Gartner against Gartner's criteria that judged support for four main use cases in BPMS buying behavior, among other criteria. The Gartner BPMS analysts then rated Lombardi in terms of how well the company’s market vision and ability to execute met each of the criteria defined for this Magic Quadrant.
According to Gartner, “Leaders offer products and services that best enable all of the use cases and have customer references for each. These vendors relentlessly focus on increasing the participation of business roles in process improvement efforts by enabling explicit, model-driven approaches rather than traditional coding.” The report continues to point out that “Leaders' products and services especially focus on business process analysts working alongside process owners to transform processes. They enable the highest level of collaboration among business and IT professionals, from the design and modeling phase through execution and optimization.”
Lombardi continues to deliver on its vision for business facing BPM technology - from unique visibility, optimization and governance capabilities in Lombardi Teamworks®, to collaborative process discovery and documentation with Lombardi Blueprint™, one of the few publicly available SaaS BPM products on the market today.
On the execution side, Lombardi continues to attract new enterprise-class companies to its rapidly expanding base. Customers span a wide variety of industries, including financial services, manufacturing, energy, healthcare, telecommunications, retail, travel services, education, insurance and the U.S. Federal Government. Lombardi also continues to expand its sales and support ecosystem, with the addition of partners and resellers across the globe.
“We are proud that Lombardi is positioned by Gartner as a BPMS leader,” said Rod Favaron, chief executive officer of Lombardi. "From my perspective, leaders in this analysis must not only have a vision for BPM – they need to demonstrate success in executing that vision. We view this as further confirmation that our strategy of delivering business-facing BPM technology and services that drive customer success and adoption sets us apart.”
